Plant Life

I have been fascinated with macro photography for many years now and enjoy using different camera and lens combinations to create the most unique images possible. I use both digital and film cameras and love to experiment with many different varieties of new and expired films. What I see through the lens is seldom what I get in the final image for a variety of reasons so what I scan and see on the computer screen is always a surprise.

Many of these images are taken right here in the desert during the spring when flowers are generally plentiful. Others are taken at public gardens or in my home studio with staged lighting.

This gallery is a collection of flower and bug macro images made using various types of new and expired films. The types of photographic mediums include new and extremely expired 35mm and 120 medium format color and black and white film, experimental and well established instant films.
